Thursday: Minto And Diefenbacker

I worked from home this morning.  I had a few online meetings, a few of which were in larger groups.  Shall I tell you which phrase has really come to grate as we’ve pivoted more to online meetings?  Can you guess?  It’s……….’We’ll just give it a few more minutes while we wait for others to join’.  No!  People know the meeting is meant to start at a certain time, so start the meeting!  There, that’s my current bugbear.

I was at a conference this afternoon at a venue on Sussex Drive.  This was on my walk back home.  The building on the left is the Diefenbacker Building, previously Ottawa’s City Hall.  I think it now houses Global Affairs staff.  And you’ve seen the Minto Bridge before.  That explains my very imaginative title.  I think it sounds like a 70s pop duo.  

K tried again to get me to like dark chocolate tonight.  Apparently a little square is good for you.  I still think it tastes evil.
