Female Evening Grosbeak

Ellie felt better after a tough morning, and she took her allergy medicine and went to ballet class before going home. I got home to find the sheetrock people working on the new bedroom, and it is now looking like a divided living room. I am delighted that the living room space is still quite adequate! 

The variety of birds in my backyard was astonishing. Today, I saw male & female Evening Grosbeaks, Black-headed Grosbeaks, Western Tanagers, Scrub Jays, Black-Capped Chickadees, Pine Siskins, Goldfinches Chestnut Breast Nuthatches, Mourning Doves, House Finches, Black-capped Chickadees, Black-eyed Juncos, and a single Robin, Song Sparrow & Western Flicker. That is 15 different species of birds in about 2 hours this afternoon. Amazing!
