ready for the garden party

On Saturday our little neighborhood is getting together to put flowering plants and bushes in our new community garden. This red Columbine is one of my donations. I got it in hopes of attracting more birds to the neighborhood. This particular plant is touted as attracting hummingbirds, insects that are eaten by veeries and warblers, and the small seeds are eaten by sparrows, juncos, and finches. Here's hoping!
