Erin Brenna Catherine

Today was my beautiful (doesn't she look angelic in this picture?) cousment Erin's 14th Birthday and her Confirmation. I was super excited to be picked as her confirmation sponsor. She also picked Catherine as her confirmation name which is a most excellent choice because that's both my middle name and alter-ego. And according to Wikipedia; St. Catherine was both a princess and a noted scholar that became a Christian around the age of fourteen. Couldn't be more perfect.

The Bishop (I thought it was the pope, Erin says it wasn't...) told us beforehand that he wanted them to sing/speak really loud and look him in the eye when he was talking to them (eye contact is very important). So proud of Erin, she looked that Bishop right in the eye and accepted the Holy Spirit. Her singing was lacking but we'll let it slide since it's her birthday.
