Like A Duck out of Water.

What a beautiful day!
After walking Rona round the woods, we packed a small picnic and took off for the hills. We headed for Callander and stopped in the riverside car park. Just as well it was quiet as about a third was under water! The river was lapping at the car park wall and the riverside path was passable with full waders only. The advantage is that the ducks and swans don't need to jump/hop/flap up to beg for crumbs.
I was quite impressed by this little common merganser who was mixing it with the mallards and swans. Maybe that sharp saw-toothed beak helped!
After a run over the Duke's Pass, we returned home and I did a bit of tidying/re-modelling in the garage and managed to create some much needed space.
Ali and Fiona popped in later with Eve who had been for her first retail therapy session.
