Rugs: Knit, Felt, Steek,* Edge

Di and Bar were here for our weekly get together; mid-May, and the first time we’ve spent it outside. Eric joined us for a sandwich before heading to Vancouver for a gig at a retirement place.
We knitted, we talked, and we ID’d birds. We watched a bald eagle soaring and soaring for a long time. Imagine soaring.

*Steek means to shut or close, but in knitting it means the opposite: to cut open. Knit a long tube, then cut it open for a button-up sweater, for instance, or in this case, to lie flat for a rug. Mine’s on the left. 10 colors, a great use of colored pencils to make a chart, because a chart (if your mind wanders off, ahem) is essential. Might be a better winter project, to keep you warm, or if you miss a warm bundle in your lap. I’m betting it’s just the ticket for SoozaDay :) even though she says not.
