Ploughing time at Parkend
On my way to buy some organic milk and keffir from Jess' Ladies farm at Hardwicke I crossed over the Sharpness canal on Parkend Bridge. About half a mile closer to the River Severn I saw a large mixed flock of crows and seagulls flying over and landing on the just ploughed soil. I couldn't stop but thought I would try to do so on my return.
when I did get back there about thirty minutes later the numbers of birds were reduced and when I stood beside the field the birds were wary of my presence. I thought it might also be that they'd already had their fill of worms.
