Croissants

I made croissants yesterday and today; it's quite a long process - yesterday I made the dough with butter layers and left it to rest in the fridge overnight, and today I shaped the croissants. Unfortunately the butter has broken up inside the layers so I'm hoping that when I cook them tomorrow, they'll be ok. I'm not quite sure why the butter broke up, but it started when I was bashing the block of butter flat to fit onto the dough.
I'm doing the 5:2 diet today so no croissants allowed. I'm looking forward to having them for my breakfast tomorrow. I'll post a photo if they turn out ok!
