Hen Pheasant

Today has been cold and wet, apart from this evening when I went out to get a photo - the sun came out and it warmed up a bit ... well that's the weather forecast over with.

In other news, I saw the purple heron again thins evening and it seems to be getting used to me, it just carried on fishing, then flew off to the too-small-for-him branches of an impossibly high tree and swayed back and forth.

This pheasant was really close to me - the cock ran off into the forest squawking, and this one stayed in front of me for about a kilometer, which, I thought, was a sign that she wanted her photo taken.
