LAYERS

It's just a photograph and it's in Edinburgh again! But it reveals aspects of human activity and experience; into the blue yonder - classical attainment - life in a contemporary format and a decidedly postmodern statement in the form of a visual scream.
Of course you may say I'm reading a lot into it and you may be right - after all as I said to start with it's just a photograph.
By the way I had to seek in a dictionary confirmation of the meaning of the description "postmodern" as I was using it-- (it's what you want it to mean it seems!).
And finally I should say I had to say something about the photo other than, "It's a pretty border isn't it?"
