A Treasured Gift (#2)
It's pouring outside and I don't feel like getting wet, so - indoor blip today.
For many years, I worked for a teacher education program called NITEP, part of the Faculty of Education at UBC. It was such a rewarding and challenging job, and I learned so much from students, colleagues, and their families. In 1993, a group of my student teachers gave me this print of a Killer Whale as a gift at the end of the academic year. The artist, Merlin Robinson, was the partner of one of the students and is from Nisga'a territory in northern BC. This photo doesn't quite capture the beauty of this print but it gives the general idea.
I'm surrounded by many treasured gifts, which I'll blip now and then. This gift that I blipped awhile ago should have been #1.
