Life’s a Beach….

We traded the green of the Madonie Mountains in central Sicily for the coast town of San Vito Lo Capo, west of Palermo and on the opposite side of the Gulf of Castellemare. It is dramatically picturesque with turquoise blue water, white sand, and towering rock mountains on either side. (Extra) One can rent a chair and an umbrella for an hour or a day, or rough it and sit on your beach towel in the “free anchorage” part of the beach. Each hotel or beach concierge has a section of beach and their signature color for umbrellas/chairs that are usually lined up in perfect rows. We did not rent a chair, but thought we might do that when we got older……
