The big day

All went well at the gathering of community-led housing projects.

We arrived at the venue an hour early and luckily were allowed to begin setting up. It was so good to have extra time to mull over the placing of tables and setting up of exhibition boards.

An exhausting but very satisfying day. A lot of talking, new contacts made, old friends caught up with, councillors and other officials updated.

About 20 attended the evening discussion session which actually worked well. Chairs in a circle and an informal relaxed atmosphere meant everyone had a chance to contribute.

I over-catered, but better that than run out of food. So it is filled rolls and homebakes for supper... and probably for dinner and tea tomorrow too.
