The Lozarithm Lens

Calne (Saturday 14th May 2022)

This is the second blip in a row not taken at home. What's going on? Both blips were taken while out on foot, however. This stretch of the River Marden lies between Castlefields Park and the town centre. A little further along I came upon two Mallard drakes involved in some sort of tussle (in Extras).

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Jeff Beck - I Ain't Superstitious (recorded 14 May 1968, Abbey Road)
Jeff Beck Group: Rod Stewart (vocal), Jeff Beck (guitar), Ronnie Wood (bass), Mick Waller (drums)
This line-up marks a brief but classic period following the Yardbirds but before the Faces, during which Jeff Beck recorded the album Truth, from which this comes, utilising up and coming vocalist Rod The Mod. Some of the tracks were recorded on this day in 1968. Willie Dixon wrote the song in 1961 for the great Howlin' Wolf, who first recorded it in that year.
