Brodsworth Hall

We stopped off here, an English Heritage place just off the A1M about halfway on our journey. It rained all the way but stopped in time for us to have a wander in the grounds and eat our picnic. The house was built on slave trade money. The owners loaned money to the people buying land in the Caribbean and ships to transport the slaves. There were some modern wire sculptures around the garden depicting this aspect.

It is now 24c now. The car Aircon just about works. We should reach Haringey around 4 pm. Poor Graham is having his first day of Ofsted so it won’t be a late night.
