The late-in-the-day short-notice invitation to interview for the job I had been drooling over since March really rather threw me off-balance, given the far more decisive other people from Thursday. But a sublimely chilled weekend in the company of my lovely former school-chum set in the serene countryside surrounding Canterbury has provided me with some much-needed clarity of thought.
