Bee of Arabia

We went into town for breakfast on the way to the river taxi to the beach. It was gorgeous along the river.

When we arrived at the beach there was a big swim event going on. It was a swim out to sea and round the island and back. Next year I might look into it lol.

We had a swim and a sunbathe and then the wind started. It just got windier and windier. We were sandblasted. It was too much so we headed back to find the public boat back to town. We got on one and were chatting with a couple as we waited for it to fill. We even bought a drink. We then realised it was a tour group and they were on their way back to Bodrum! Well, we gave them a laugh as we got off…thankfully just before they set off. We found the right boat and had to have another raki. They gave us a wave as their boat chugged past.

As we headed back along the river the wind dropped and it was glorious. A quick dip in the pool then a shower….although I’m still finding sand where I don’t want to find sand.

Twelve Islands boat trip tomorrow….hopefully no wind!
