Railway Station?

Some time ago we were given vouchers for afternoon tea for two at Carriages, sitting in Mark 1 SK 24458 carriage named Lancelot. Our carriage can be seen on the left of the station building. Because of various thing (like covid) we had to rearrange several time but finally made it today.
The whole set up is reminiscent of the 1940's, the jeeps parked outside, the posters and adverts on the station and the coach just peeking in on the right of the picture.
Afternoon tea consisted of a few sandwiches, some very small but very detailed (and tasty) cakes, they called them petit fours and a couple of scones. Not a lot I thought but too much, one of the scones had to come with us in a box. Very nice and very stylish, a proper special treat.
The strangest thing about the whole set up is it is totally fake. There was no station here, no railway line, nothing. It has all been built up from nothing and a very good job they have done with it, all very convincing.
But I am still left wondering why?
