Dismantling the Big Wheel

The partially dismantled big wheel, which is being relocated to Largs, with the war memorial in front. The memorial includes a 10'6" high bronze figure of Britannia by the sculptor Walter Gilbert of Birmingham and was unveiled on 30 November 1924.  https://www.iwm.org.uk/memorials/item/memorial/2004
