Bath time.

This young owl isn’t scruffy - just fresh from a bath.

With rain forecast, we stayed closer to home and went to see the birds of prey at Rosliston Forestry Centre.

I hadn’t reckoned on Avian flu and its impact. They are all kept inside their cages except for exercise. I tried to take some photos through the windows, but was rather disappointed. They can’t risk them catching it from a passing pigeon.

However, several of them were due to perform and fly during the afternoon, and before all that excitement, some of the others were going to be out on their perches, having baths and a little fresh air.

They were amazing. It was so lovely to see them.

My blip is of a little grey owl (black because it was wet.)

We also saw a Czechoslovakian Golden Eagle and a couple of adorable other owls.

I’ll go again when the dangers are over.
