Breakfast View

I was eating breakfast this morning and was enjoying watching the birds on the bird feeder but my eye was caught by the low filtered sunshine on the first flowers to appear in my garden. They've been a long time coming but very welcome indeed. I am not sure how much will have survived the long winter we've had but as it is a newly created garden I cannot expect everything to re-appear in good health. Anyway these flowers, although with bruised and battered leaves, made me feel spring really is here at last and how joyful that thought is.
