Feet are aching today after endless walking the floors of the show and approaching potential customers. I also was trying to take snap of a promo poster for my friends youth Radio station. www.yjaradio.com is a Young Journalists organisation which my friend runs. He works with schools to encourage young people to broadcast and publish reports on all kinds of great things and bring on the next generation of journalists. Its an industry which is heavily criticised by many (including me) but often we are criticising the lack of morals, political biase and private interest of the organisations they work for. When done well journalism is a fantastic and essential role to all societies. I like the BBC and the Guardian newspaper groups for their great work but also for the fact that as trusts they both have public statements about their organisations intentions/beliefs/bias in some eyes. But a declaration of where they are coming from. The other UK newspapers and broadcast organisations are all privately owned companies who don't declare the politics/bias/owner or editors interest in reducing his tax bill etc. As pointed out by one of our previous PM's newspapers in the UK are increasingly becoming viewspapers and when that is happening we need to know where the money is coming from and what they believe.
