MAO Portrait & Forbidden City

Mao's portrait, as most people know, hangs over the entrance gate to the Forbidden City in Beijing. Here, Mao's image is effectively redefined in OCT Loft one of Shenzhen's art districts. What's your opinion of the iconography of Mao?
