A lovely day...

We took ourselves into Durham City today as the weather was so good.  It was very hot (by NE standards) by lunch time so we walked around the peninsula - Durham Cathedral and castle are built upon a hill almost surrounded by the River Wear. There were some wonderful shots to be taken so I tried some of the bridges across the Wear.  I forgot Prebend's Bridge, I was so busy taking photographs from it!  PS I can't avoid taking this shot just about every time the sun is out!
