Guarding our lives

The rain continues to thunder down on our weekend in Surfers Paradise. Even though the beach is closed, this Lifeguard tower (one of 40 at the Gold Coast) was manned today as there are still the occasional fools who defy the elements and put the lifeguards’ lives at risk. Incidentally, that’s the moon trying to make its presence felt at the top.
