HOORAY - DONALD HAS ARRIVED!

Hello Lovely Blippers,

We were so excited last night, because Mr. and Mrs. HCB told us that one of our relatives, Donald Duck, was arriving from America for a visit.  Well, you know what Mrs. HCB is like - she said that we needed to welcome Donald with a good old English welcome, so we were making flags and banners and all sorts of food that we thought Donald would like well into the night.

When Donald first wrote to us, he said he would only be staying for a few weeks, BUT when we saw the size of his suitcase, we knew differently!  It looks as if he plans to stay for quite a while.  We know that two of Mr. and Mrs. HCB’s friends from America are coming over in September, and I think he wants to have a look around and find good places for them to visit - and who knows, he may be able to show them around, with our help, of course!

We were really surprised when Donald got off the plane, because he too was carrying a large banner that said “Howdy Folks, How Ya Doin?”  He said he had been looking forward to meeting us all as he had read so much about us on Blip and he knew that Blipland was just the BEST place to be spending time.  He said he was just sorry that he couldn’t meet Admirer, because he knew she would be such fun, but he also knew that we remembered her every week on Silly Saturday. 


We are also thinking today of Deanna, a lovely Blipper, who sadly died last Saturday.  Deanna was also very fond of Admirer and on Silly Saturday, with her husband, KG, she always posted some amazing Silly Saturday shots.  I wonder if she and Admirer are getting up to some Silly Saturday Adventures together?  We wouldn't be at all surprised!

We have made peanut cookies and have plenty of Coke - the drinking sort before anyone gets worried - but we need to find out from Donald what other food he enjoys.  We do like to treat our guests well.

You can see that Maurice Monkey is already at the side of Donald’s large suitcase - we understand that Americans call this “baggage” - ready to climb on it but he needs to be careful as it is very large and he could hurt himself if he falls.

I’m sure we will have lots of fun and adventures and I hope that you will all enjoy them with us.  We can’t wait for Gina and Connie to arrive in September - and just hope that they will have a good time with us too.  They are making lots of plans and I’m sure they will be having lots of adventures, and you know how much we like adventures!

Well, better go and make Donald a quintessentially English cup of tea in bone china tea cups - need to do this properly!  You may remember that Mrs. HCB brought Mr. HCB some Tea Room Blend tea from Betty’s in North Yorkshire, which he says is very nice, although he would probably prefer some of Mrs. HCB’s coffee.
