Autumn whizzing in

Whew! Made it to the end of a rather long and crazily busy Term 1. Here comes Autumn :)

Had a great course today - Learning@School . . . . . . food for thought about how the approach to education and teaching is changing/being changed by the technology that's now available.

The breakout I enjoyed the most was one on Cyberbullying. As a Health teacher I/we constantly aim to empower students to make good choices but of course, they need knowledge and self-confidence in order to be able to do that. Whilst facebook and mobile phones are very widely used the pitfalls associated with thier use are maybe not quite so widely understood. Lots to think about over the holidays . . . . good stuff.
