The Daffodil Mystery?

I bought these bulbs a couple of weeks ago when I went to Christchurch and forgot about them. Here they are still in the box from the hardware shop, along with other bits and pieces. Time is running out. If I don't plant them soon they won't have flowers next spring.

I had a very enjoyable time with my daughter and son last night. Sixty years is a long time between the desire and the fulfilment. I love a mystery, so instead of telling you what we did I invite you to guess. Who will be the first to get it right?
