A good day out

Rather a dull morning, but my sister and I set off to go into Kent, as Jane Austen might have said, and probably did!

As we'd agreed to get to Aylesford by 2pm we spent an hour or two at the National Trust garden of Emmetts, near Sevenoaks. Lots of lovely spring colour, both shrubs and alpines - see extra.

We went to the 'Refreshment area', aka the cafe, for a coffee before looking round. I couldn't resist snapping this couple at a nearby table; to me they sum up the perfect National Trust supporters!!

Spent a lovely couple of hours with the old aunt in her garden before driving back to Hampton.
