Labelled

When I was little I had a Richard Scarry book, The Best Word Book Ever, in which busy street scenes had each item labelled. I can't remember exactly why it was so fascinating, but it was one of those books that my mother wasn't allowed to throw out. (Going away to college was such a tactical error, it allowed her gradually to empty her house and loft of stuff that I'd fought for over the years.)

I was so pleased to see that someone had tried to bring Scarry's labelling idea into real life that I had to go around the block, park and take this photo, making me not exactly late for the seminar at which I was speaking, but un-early enough to worry my co-presenter. Sorry
