Day 4
An unescorted day again today. Some of us went off to Castlerigg Stone circle just outside Keswick. A bit of a challenge is an understatement. Very very windy (as it always is) and pretty overcast here although flashes of sunlight streamed across the landscape a short distance away.
After a tea break at the Theatre Cafe in Keswick it was on to Watendlath above Ashness Bridge by Derwent Water. Again, it was quite a wait for the clouds to break sufficiently for the sun to break through.
Back then to the download ritual before dinner this evening to find I had well over 100 images that would not copy from the card into lightroom. I knew that these were the best ones from today so I was a little bit frustrated. Anyhow, I tried again after this evenings review of today's images, and, thankfully, they did copy on this occasion. A quick scan through and this is one of the images that jumped out.
It is taken from the hillside over the river from the cafe looking back down the valley.
Hopefully there will be no hiccups tomorrow.
