Seven!

He's had such a lovely day - woke up to presents, whole school sang him happy birthday, hot chocolate in town after school, home for science experiments and cake. 

All a bit over-whelming by the end of the day, manifested by the (turned down) request for games on the tablet and a later bed-time, which was met with many tears.

Arriving to pick up the boys and hearing the whole school singing happy birthday to the eldest 
The husband sneaking away from the spare room for afternoon hot chocolate / coffee
