portrait of the artist as a young person

After a day in the garden, I'm at an art exhibition- this is the end of year show by the HND Art and Design students at Dumfries and Galloway College.

Some very impressive work here, but what really struck me was how much of themselves the (mostly) young people have expressed in their art, and how they have put their vulnerabilities on show. It's very raw and very touching.

I've been round the exhibition twice and I'm now sitting outside waiting for Sarah and D. D has met up with his tutors from college and is having a good chat. It could be a while before we get home for tea tonight...
