Gongoozlers

A screen shot of one of the slides at the Arts Society this evening. A talk on the art and history of canals. Lots of interesting details about the “roses and castles” style of illustrations on so much of the boating equipment.

And apparently those of us who are happy sitting by a canal and watching the goings on are called Gongoozlers. No idea where that came from.
