2022 Sunday — Mother’s Day USA

Because I am a mother, some of these people are alive.

On the left is our oldest granddaughter Ashly with her little boy RJ; our youngest great-grandchild (he will be 3 yrs old this coming June 24th).

On the right is our granddaughter Desiree with her hubby Justin and their three children: Tristan (15), Jade (6), and Emillia (3).

Missing from this conglomeration of my offspring are our two children (son Shawn and daughter Deidre [Dede]) and Dede’s son Emerson.

You can find our family photo in the dictionary next to the word “dysfunction.” We really aren’t too worried about it because overtime we’ve come to realize there are very few perfect families. Some of our family have been redeemed by Jesus and “forgiveness” is written across our foreheads. Mr. Fun & I will celebrate 57 years of marriage at the end of this month and that is a significant factor in the lives of the kids pictured here.

We’ve celebrated all weekend. This has been a quiet lovely day.
