The Range Anxiety Problem

In November 2011 Brighton & Hove Council installed two electric vehicle charging points at Withdean Stadium on the outskirts of the city. Electric vehicle owners from across the UK can register to use the points with electricity and parking will be free for up to three hours. A European scheme which promotes sustainable transport helped fund the new vehicle charging stations. Brighton and Hove Council was awarded £2.2 million for small-scale transport projects.
I have passed these charging points on a regular basis at varying times of the day for over two years now - sadly I have NEVER seen any vehicle connected to the station.
This is a real shame but not altogether suprising given (1) the location of the charging points and (2) the location of the charging points
