Ferry good

Main blip  -  the Northlink ferry coming in from Scrabster as the Stromness lifeboat sits moored at the quayside; and

Extra  -  St Magnus cathedral in Kirkwall

We took a trip by bus to Kirkwall this morning to give Gill a break from driving before we travel home tomorrow. On the cathedral forecourt we got chatting to a couple from Yorkshire who had a cute little shih tzu. By sheer coincidence I remembered seeing the husband pushing the pup in a covered pushchair as Gill and I were sitting having coffee in a café in Wick on Sunday! I had then gone on to tell Gill about how blipper Ann had taken Trixie the Collie out in a similar pushchair to get her used to all the sights, smells and sounds of city life when she was a young pup. The husband (outside the cathedral today - keep up!) said he remembered us smiling at them through the café window! Small world!

Despite the forecast for another day of rain, we've had lovely sunshine :-)

Long drive home tomorrow. Hope we'll be back to Orkney one day...
