N Esk

Such a busy day.  as often on a Monday I swithered about swimming, but went anyway, on the bike.  I finalised an application which I had also swithered about, not my best, but probably not 100% investment.

Then to collect Mum for our lunch date.  The weather was very changeable, sun one minute and rain the next.  We headed to Lasswade and had lunch at The Paper Mill, overlooking the River North Esk.  Thoughts of eating on the terrace were thwarted by the weather.  Lunch was fine with a very pleasant mocktail.  The reason for a Midlothian foray was for mum to get her 4th jag and that was the next stop, an almost deserted vaccination clinic at Midlothian Community Hospital. We came out as it was time to go in, if you know what I mean. And the last stop (more rain) was Tesco to get a few clothes for her French trip and food for me for J's stay.

It was well after 4 before I got home.  I was pretty tired but there was a Choir Committee meeting to chair first.  Luckily a large lunch meant food was not required.

J arrived as anticipated about 8.30 (just after 'Landward' finished) and after a catch up and a snack we both went to bed.  She's on French time after all.
