In a former work life, I was a Further Education maths tutor. My "teaching in FE" tutor was a lovely lady called Caroline, and I struck up a close friendship with a fellow student who was known as Short Cut because her catchphrase was "Hold on a minute, I can see a short cut coming over them thar hills!"
The teaching qualification was run through Bath Spa University, so yesterday we met up for a walk around the grounds. This was one of the few unchanged parts of the campus.
