Harry Potter Owl

A miserable morning with rain and wind became an average afternoon with less rain but still plenty of wind. 
The evening however produced the bird in the imasge. I heard it was about yesterday however had heard nothing today but we thought as the weather had improved we should head north.
Rather to my surprise we actuially found the bird in a fairly wide expanse of moorland and although a fair way away and difficult to hold optics still in the wind, it was a hugely impressive bird.
