A cheery break for us!

#1 Daughter had come "home" to celebrate a friend's birthday. A group of 4 schoolfriends had rented a cottage to celebrate becoming 40 21 this year. They had an absolutely wonderful time and said they felt more like 16. I asked if they got asked for ID in the pubs if that was the case.

We continued with the work we have been doing until Rachel was ready to meet us. It was a bit of a drive around to find a pub willing to serve meals at 5 pm but here we are at The Beehive Inn in Eamont Bridge.

It was a Sunday Roast menu and Rachel and I both decided on the nut roast. It was absolutely delicious. We both recalled me having once bought something in a foil tray that turned out very dry. We were delighted that tonight's meal was nothing like that.
