A dull dry day

We have known for a few days that road surfacing would be taking place, so early on we managed to park the car in an adjoining section of road. The heavy vehicles arrived from 7.30am and so the noise began.

This piece of equipment rips the top layer off the road and deposits in a lorry. The work is scheduled to take 5 days - hopefully it will all look nice and smooth afterwards.
