Round the houses ....
We headed over to Fife today to see my Dad and M stopping at Hill of Tarvit on the way over. We had passed it many times but this was our first visit and very interesting it was too. There was a real sense of it's being a family home. We also enjoyed a stroll round the gardens and through the woods.
The guides were friendly and helpful but unfortunately didn't include fellow blipper Dakers on this occassion. However I did remember that he had written about the sundial which you can see on the front of the house in a previous blip - The Sundial Paradox
We then spent an enjoyable couple of hours in Leven before heading back home via Kinclaven Bluebell Wood - the bluebells had started to emerge but there are still more to come out so we try and come back in a week to ten days The woods had been hit hard by recent storms with many fallen branches as well as trees. We still had a pleasant stroll round the woods and even spotted a cuckoo.
