Views from Culver Down

Drove to Culver Down today. The weather and views were glorious. This Yarborough Monument is a memorial to Charles Anderson-Pelham the 2nd Baron Yarborough, and founder of the Royal Yacht Squadron at Cowes. We were hoping to see the Battle of Britain Fly-Past over Southampton but others on the Down who were tracking the planes, said it just came down to Southampton and flew back again. Disappointing it didn't come along to Portsmouth, especially as it is VE Day, but maybe another time.
