Robin's birthday

I'm SOOOO late with this blip.  We've been travelling home (with diversions) with poor wi-fi facilities.  And then I've spent most of today (8th May) trying to organise photos and kicking my computer which was running very slow - perhaps it was uploading updates?

It was Robin's birthday on 5th May.  We stayed in bed - the boys were up by 6, I think; we thought it best to leave the family to their own devices as they treated Robin (and Milo, of course) to waffles for breakfast and then got the boys off to förskola.  R had an important meeting she had to attend, so she and G were working for the morning, before picking up the boys and driving down into Denmark for his birthday treat.

Once the boys were out of the house, we showered and dressed, then packed up and got out of the way so that we were not impeding the departure.  We too drove over The Bridge and, stopping for some electrons and a burger outside Odense, arrived at Legoland Holiday Village before the family.

Once the family arrived, we visited them at their rather snug cabin (1st extra).  R had paid for a "birthday package" for Robin - special duvet cover and pillow slip, balloons, apple juice, bunting (2nd extra).  Luckily the weather was good enough to have the cake (3rd extra - we had brought the caterpillar cake from England) and presents outside.

We then all went down to the restaurant for some dinner - a pretty good spread, obviously quite child focussed, but with a decent selection of adult foods as well.  Once Milo was asleep (he slept on the big bed with his parents, as he would probably have fallen out of the small bed) R came to our cabin for wine.
