De
Railleur.
Feeling under the weather still with cold (on the brink of Covid I'm convinced but I keep testing negative) but thought I'd go out for an easy ride in the afternoon just for a couple of hours. The chain slipped off the front rings and off the jockey wheels on back derailleur twice before I'd gone barely more than a mile.
This has happened before on another bike and replacing worn jockey wheels solved it so a quick trip to the bike shop ensued. There then followed much fiddling out back with trying to replace the damned things and what should have been a quick and easy job dragged on to the point where I just had a complete mental block about where the chain went and what I was meant to be doing...plus I was making tea for everyone and it was getting late. Figuring that my family wouldn't want to eat at midnight I gave up on the bike...for now at least. Lasagne was good tho'.

I've used this line before but Jockey Wheel Replacement is an actual bike thing, not some band I saw supporting The Wedding Present at The Leadmill in 1987.
That was this lot
