Our garden in May
Today I managed to do a little light weeding when I went into the garden, or rather thin out the pale pink thuggish cranesbill so beloved by the bees, which was threatening to suffocate a hydrangea. The roses are almost there but will need another week or two to bloom. In the meanwhile there seemed plenty to photograph so you have yet another collage. The clematis we've had for a few years now and it it did not do well in a pot. Now that we've moved it to the foot of one of the rose arches, it's doing splendidly. For the past two years the honeysuckle has been covered with blackfly to the point that the leaves yellowed then fell so this year I've decided to spray the leaves well in advance and so far, so good!
