Red Campion (Silene dioica) is now in flower, seen here against the background of the Hornbeam hedge in our back garden.


Meanwhile the Spiderlings (see today's 'Extra') spent most of today in tight balls on their various host plants: we wondered if this was to deceive any possible predators into mistaking them for flower buds...?
