The Local Tree Surgeon
OK - a break from model railroading, although the track is in the background. On our walk along our river in town this morning, we discovered a tree recently taken down by a beaver. This spot is right in the middle of our little (18,000 people) town and it was not a small tree. No clue where he/she lives - but a nice chewing job I thought.
The extra was taken the same day - the Durango Botanical Association plants and maintains the area around the library which is just coming into bloom. This is also along the river walk. I am a black-thumb gardener so I do not touch anything as I would kill it immediately.
