House For Rent -- Water Views

This old bird house is in a garden bordering our swimming pool. In the summer, a purple clematis twines its way up the post, and it is surrounded by a butterfly bush, russian sage, marguerites, coreopsis, and salvia. There is nesting material poking out of the entrance hole, but I'm not sure if this is left over from last year's tenants or whether it is evidence of new home makers.

Recently, as I was walking in the garden with my 3 1/2 year old grandson, he spied the bird house, and exclaimed "Look! A bird museum!" -- Brilliant boy.
